Badania ceny i popytuWe test the product price, along with the brand, in the context of other competing brands. This allows us to estimate the preference shares of the tested brands.
It is a special application of conjoint analysis, which examines a combination of price and brand, and a method of testing the price elasticity of demand.
It is used for testing different pricing scenarios (increase or decrease in prices), allows for the analysis of ‘What if?’ and allows us to estimate the preference shares of the tested brands.
Respondents are shown a set of brands with prices, usually starting from a price lower than the current market one.

 

We ask which brand they would chose if they were to buy the product. We raise the price of the brand of choice and repeat the question. The respondent can choose the same brand or another brand at a lower cost. We keep asking  until the moment when one of the brands reaches the maximum limit, or the respondent decides not to continue the selection.
