New product development


Up to 40 per cent tries of new product introduction to the market ends with failure. There are many reasons for that: the idea might be good, but the market not big enough or the product not completed; it also happens that the idea is not good but it is forced by bosses despite the research result. In future introduction of new products may be even more difficult due to fact that markets are divided into fragments, competition globalization (idea competition too) or even regulations introduced by governments.

 

New products introduction is always risky. Marketing research function is to minimize those risks. That is why in model system generating new products, market researcher participates on all stages from generating the idea, screening the idea, concept development and test, up to tracking the results of marketing campaign concerning product introduction to the market. For professional researcher those projects are among the most fascinating jobs.
