Marketing communication research

The company which concentrates only on delivery of good products with reasonable prices most likely will not succeed. Contemporary marketing is much more. Marketing is about communication, i.e. what to say, to whom and how often. Communication is not only advertising. It is a system which consists of – besides media advertising – promotional and loyalty programs, sponsoring, PR, direct marketing, product exposition (shop windows, fairs, public places shows).
Communication management consists of several elements. Usually it starts with target group identification and its characteristics. It must be decided whether the communication should provide brand awareness growth, brand knowledge extension, consumers’ preferences change, sale growth in short or long period. Then the message should be worked out and proper communication form. And finally communication channel chosen. Such complicated process management is almost impossible without professional research support.
